From a series of photos taken in my parents' small town of Benthuizen, on a gorgeous and peaceful Saturday morning. Taken with my Minox 35GT with automatic shutter speed, trying my best to not over/underexpose the shot....

edit: tweaked colors, improved balance of light/shadow

That's a great shot! Why has no-one commented on it? It could use a contrast boost, as it is the darkest part of the image is solid in the left hand edge making that the heaviest point in the image, in fact, skip the contrast boost and consider a small amount of dodging and burning.

hehe thanks again. and yeah like i said in my reply to your other comment, i haven't really done any dodging and burning before. i did a while ago and screwed up the photo...hehe.

this whole series of shots was as hard to balance out in post processing as it was taking them. much a huge variety of lightness, it was difficult to bring out the darkenes foreground in all its detail without losing the reds yellows and blues in the sky.

great clearity, the colors are good to. I like the feeling of progression, and the fog works for it to. Keep it up!

F**CKING beautiful man, netherlands eh? It reminds me a lot of LOTR when Frodo, Sam and Golem trek through the marsh, the whole scenary idea except this is like the happy version XD <3 it.
