Food Photogenics I

This is the first portrtait shoot i've done in a long time, and the first ever shoot i've done with as much setting up as this one...but actually that wasn't even too bad, Kaela, who you see here, did her own makeup while i was setting up the background and lighting. Total preparation time, about 40 minutes.

This was so much fun to do! I love food a lot, and luckily so did she, so a food-themed portrait shoot seemed natural. I decided to purchase various foods that interact with the hand/fingers/mouth when eaten; to be honest the results are different than i had envisioned, but i'm pleased with them nonetheless. It's a whole different world than nighttime architecture photography, here you're actually shooting a living being (DUH), and you can interact with her, instruct her, and give her liberty to show the camera her best side. And that she did. Kaela makes an outstanding model! Thanks again, dear!
